The University has an Official Language Hindi Cell responsible for implementing the Official Language Policy of the Union within the institution. The cell operates with three sanctioned posts: Assistant Director, Hindi Translator, and Hindi Typist.
The Cell continuously strives to fully implement the provisions of the Official Languages Act, 1963, the Official Languages Rules, 1976, Presidential Orders, directives from the Committee of Parliament on Official Language, instructions from the Department of Official Language, and decisions of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee issued from time to time. Furthermore, the cell takes all necessary steps to meet the targets set out in the Annual Programme issued by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.
To encourage compliance, employees are regularly sensitized and motivated through quarterly Hindi workshops, competitions organised during Hindi Week/Fortnight/Month, and incentive scheme.
An Official Language Implementation Committee has been constituted at the Central University of Himachal Pradesh under the chairmanship of the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor to monitor the progress and implementation of the Official Language Policy of the Union.

विश्वविद्यालय में एक राजभाषा हिंदी प्रकोष्ठ कार्यरत है, जो संस्थान के भीतर संघ की राजभाषा नीति के कार्यान्वयन के लिए उत्तरदायी है। यह प्रकोष्ठ तीन स्वीकृत पदों—सहायक निदेशक, हिंदी अनुवादक एवं हिंदी टंकक—द्वारा संचालित होता है।
यह प्रकोष्ठ राजभाषा अधिनियम 1963 के प्रावधानों, राजभाषा नियम 1976, राष्ट्रपति महोदय के आदेशों, संसदीय राजभाषा समिति के निर्देशों, राजभाषा विभाग के अनुदेशों तथा नगर राजभाषा कार्यान्वयन समिति द्वारा समय-समय पर लिए गए निर्णयों का पूर्णतः अनुपालन सुनिश्चित करने के लिए निरंतर प्रयासरत है। इसके अतिरिक्त, प्रकोष्ठ गृह मंत्रालय (भारत सरकार) के राजभाषा विभाग द्वारा जारी वार्षिक कार्यक्रम में निर्धारित लक्ष्यों को प्राप्त करने के लिए सभी आवश्यक कदम उठाता है।
राजभाषा नीति के अनुपालन को बढ़ावा देने के लिए कर्मचारियों को तिमाही हिंदी कार्यशालाओं, हिंदी सप्ताह/पखवाड़ा/माह के दौरान आयोजित प्रतियोगिताओं एवं प्रोत्साहन योजना के माध्यम से नियमित रूप से जागरूक तथा प्रेरित किया जाता है।
संघ की राजभाषा नीति की प्रगति एवं कार्यान्वयन की निगरानी के लिए हिमाचल प्रदेश केंद्रीय विश्वविद्यालय में माननीय कुलपति महोदय की अध्यक्षता में एक राजभाषा कार्यान्वयन समिति का गठन किया गया है।
इस समिति के माध्यम से निम्नलिखित सदस्य राजभाषा हिंदी के प्रचार-प्रसार एवं कार्यान्वयन में अपना योगदान दे रहे हैं:
